Nodes | A node is a discovered managed device. This displays the number of online nodes discovered. The following fields relate to the corresponding node in a row. |
Type | This displays an icon representing the type of SNMP-enabled managed device. • Zyxel devices, such as a switch, AP, ZyWALL/USG/UAG use the device icon. • Non-Zyxel devices use a generic device icon. • Nebula devices have a nebula icon next to the device icon. |
System Name | This is the name that identifies the managed device. Click the hyperlink to go to device details at Node Info. |
Interface | This is the IP address of the managed device. |
Status | The wrench and screwdriver Auto-Restore symbol indicates that a new manged device is connected to the CNA Service port for the purpose of replacing a failed managed device’s configuration. This is always at the top of the list and is not counted as a managed device. Green indicates that the managed device is online and being managed by the CNC. Red indicates that the managed device is offline and although discovered, cannot be managed by the CNC. Check events and notifications for possible reasons why. |
Model | This identifies a specific managed device. Non-Zyxel devices may omit this information. |
Firmware Version | The firmware version of a Zyxel device is in ‘trunk-version(model-code.release#)’ format. For example, V4.11(AAHY.1) means that the firmware trunk version is 4.11, AAHY identifies the NWA5123-NI model and ‘.1’ is the second firmware release (‘.0’ is the first) for this model. Firmware versions followed by a date and time means ‘date version’ firmware which may be patch firmware to fix a bug and is not officially released yet. Non-Zyxel devices may omit this information. |
Location | This shows location information configured on the managed device. |
Serial Number | This shows the serial number of the managed device. |
MAC | This shows the MAC address of the managed device. |
All Outstanding Notices | An outstanding notice is an email about an event that has not been acknowledged yet. |
Notice ID | This ID uniquely identifies the notice. A notice is an email about an event. The hyperlink takes you a menu showing details. |
Event ID | This ID uniquely identifies the event. An event is a log of something that has happened to a device. The hyperlink takes you a menu showing details. |

Major | A device is completely down or in danger of going down. Attention needs to be paid to this problem immediately. |
Minor | A part of a device (a service, and interface, a power supply, etc.) has stopped functioning. The device needs attention. |
Warning | An event has occurred that may require action. This severity can also be used to indicate a condition that should be noted (logged) but does not require direct action. |
Indeterminate | No severity level could be associated with this event. |
Normal | Informational message. No action is required. |

Node Info | This menu shows information on a managed device. |
Rescan | Click this button to update SNMP attributes of discovered devices being managed by the CNC. If the MAC address for this device is different after rescanning, then CNC will ask to confirm if it should use the new device MAC address. If the MAC address is the same, but other information, such as location, has changed, CNC will update the information automatically without prompting to confirm. |
Remote Access | Click this button to directly access the web configurator of the managed device. |
Manage Graphs | Click this button to select node parameters such as CPU utilization, memory utilization, and response time to display in the graph. |
View Graphs | Click this button to display selected parameters in a graph for the node for the selected time period. |

Delete Node | Click this button to remove the managed device from being managed by the CNC. |
SNMP Attributes | Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application layer protocol used to manage and monitor TCP/IP-based devices. SNMP is used to exchange management information between an SNMP manager and a network element (NE), the managed node. The CNC supports SNMP version 1 (SNMPv1) and SNMP version 2c. |
Icon | This displays the icon of the selected device in Site View. Also, you can edit this field if the device belongs to one of the SNMP-enabled devices’ types. |
System Name | This is the name that identifies the managed device. |
System Uptime | This displays the time the managed device has been working. This is not the managed device’s real uptime, the CNC updates this information according to the polling interval set in the Site View > Admin > Monitor Setting screen. The default polling interval is 5 minutes. |
MAC | This displays the MAC address of the managed device. |
Serial Number | This displays the serial number of the managed device. |
