Multiple Views - MSP Portal, Organizational and Site
A site is a group of devices managed via a CNA (Cloud Network Agent). An organization is a group of sites managed by one or more operators. An MSP (Managed Services Provider) is a group of organizations managed by an operator.
The MSP Portal is your home page if you are managing two or more organizations. You can add, edit or delete organizations. Select an organization to add, edit or delete sites to/from that organization.
The organization view is your home page if you are managing just one organization. You may also see this view when you select an organization from the MSP Portal. You can add, edit or delete sites to/from an organization. You can also view organization events, create operators and manage CNAs. If there is only one organization in your account, you can not edit or delete it, but you could create a new one and then delete the original one.
You see the site view when you select a site from an organization view. You can add, edit, delete and manage devices in a site.
Site Management
CNA is a network agent that allows secure communications with CNC. One CNA may be used to manage a single site or multiple sites. When managing a single site, the CNA can be at the customer’s site.
When managing multiple sites, the CNA can be at the control center with individual VPN tunnels to each customer site. You may need to adjust the monitor interval (maximum device polling reply time) when a CNA at the control center is used to manage multiple sites via VPN tunnels.
Operators with different privileges can be assigned to different sites.
Getting Started
See the Quick Start Guide for CNA hardware connections and initial configuration to access the CNC. You can perform network management by the CNC using an Internet browser. Browsers supported are:
Firefox 36.0.1 or later
Chrome 41.0 or later
IE 10 or later

CNC Login
Go to the CNC website.
1 Type https://cnc.zyxel.com in a supported web browser. Log into CNC with your myZyxel account and select your organization and site. If you don’t have a myZyxel account yet, please refer to myZyxel Account and CNA Registration.

Note: This may take around 20 minutes to complete (depends on the Internet speed connection to CNC).
After you log in, you will be automatically logged out by CNC if there is no activity for 120 minutes. Simply log in again if this happens.
The CNC portal uses cookies to record login information. You will not be able to log in if you block cookies. You will have to log in again if you clear cookies. See http://www.zyxel.com/privacy_statement.shtml for more information.
Task-based activities such as firmware upgrade, push CLI, and so on have 30 minutes to complete before the task is terminated.
Auto-restore has 60 minutes to complete before the task is terminated.
myZyxel Account and CNA Registration
You need to have a myZyxel account in order to access and log into the CNC. You also have to register your CNA(s) with myZyxel before you can manage devices via the CNA.
1 Open your web browser and go to https://portal.myzyxel.com.
2 Sign in with your email and password. Click Sign Up if you don't have a myZyxel account and create an account.
3 Register CNA on myZyxel using the Device Registration menu. Enter your CNA’S MAC Address and Serial Number.
CNA Connection
Connect your CNA to your network router or switch using the LAN port. Your network must have Internet access. CNA has DHCP enabled by default so will try to connect to CNC using a DHCP-assigned dynamic IP address. The CNA’s SYS LED blinks as it is connecting to the CNC. When the CNA connects to the CNC for the first time, it will check if there is a later CNA firmware available on the CNC server and will update it automatically if it finds one.
Note: CNA will automatically reboot after the firmware update has completed. The CNA LAN port link LED starts blinking when the link is up again. Wait around 5 minutes for the CNA’s Status icon in CNA Management to turn green which means that the CNA is working normally.
First Time Discovery
In order for managed devices to display in the Site View after you log into CNC, you must set a discovery range for managed devices in Site View > Admin > Discover Nodes. To access the Site View screen select an organization and select then a site.
1 Choose a specific IP address(es) and/or IP address range(s).
2 Click the Discover button, wait for two to six minutes, and then select the Discovery Result tab to see what devices were found.
3 In Discovery Result, select a discovered device(s), click Add, then go to Site View. Wait two to six minutes for discovered devices to appear in the Site View menu.

License Calculator
There are three types of licenses that you can buy:
1yr 250-node - one year CNC service for up to 250 managed devices.
1yr 100-node - one year CNC service for up to 100 managed devices
1yr 50-node - one year CNC service for up to 50 managed devices
License expiry depends on the license credit which is the product of remaining time AND the number of devices currently being managed by CNC. For example, if you have a 1yr 50-node license, but 100 actual managed devices, then you may use this license for all 100 devices for up to six months. If you have a 1yr 50-node license, but 25 actual managed devices, then you may use this license for all 25 devices for up to two years. There is a calculator in the License menu to help you determine the expiration date of the license credit.
Note: A CNA license owner can activate licenses in myZyxel or in CNC for himself. An administrator can register/activate licenses in CNC only for the CNA owner.
The CNC consumes license credit from the CNA owner.
When a license expires, there is a 30-day grace period in which to update the license before the site or the organization is permanently removed from CNC. During the grace period, you can only activate new licenses. After the license is extended, you can then manage the devices again. If the license is not extended after the grace period, then the site or organization is removed from CNC and the deletions cannot be recovered.

Operators
An operator can manage organizations, sites and devices (Interfaces monitoring, Push CLI, Config backup/restore, FW upgrade, Auto-restore). Operators with full privileges can assign other operators to manage sites. For example, if A has Full privilege to an organization/site, then A can authorize B to be an operator for the organization/site. B can in turn authorize C to be an operator for the organization/site. B can also remove this operator from the organization/site.
(An administrator can perform CNA firmware upgrade, and register/activate licenses - see CNA Management.)
